Market Square, the vibrant retail and dining hub located along Varsity Parade within Delfin’s Varsity Lakes, is giving consumers the chance to win a Holden Barina throughout May.

Market Square is a ‘one-stop-shop’ and features beauty boutiques, handy convenience retail stores and an array of culinary options ranging from fine dining, to cosy cafes and takeaway options for the time poor.

Bounded by Lake Street and Varsity Parade, Market Square’s dining options cater for a wide variety of tastes, including award-winning modern Australian, Indian, Asian, Italian, seafood and now with a Subway and a new Japanese restaurant open for business, Varsity Lakes is spoilt for choice.

To enter the competition, consumers must spend more than $10 at participating retailers and fill out an entry form within the month of May, or while entry forms last.

In an effort to support local business, Carl Bruhn, Delfin General Manager Town Centres said that he was excited to have the competition running within Market Square.

“Market Square boasts a number of exciting and award winning retailers including lakefront dining, welcoming cafes and local services for everyone.

“It’s infused with the sights, smells and delights of wonderful eateries, friendly service, easy entertaining and simple convenience, all within easy access of the local community, Mr Bruhn said.

Holden Spokesperson, Wade Von Bibra said when considering current economic conditions, it’s vitally important to assist local business and keep the economy moving.

“The Holden dealership, based at nearby Robina, is particularly interested in supporting the local businesses and residents by offering community support in whichever way possible – which is why we are participating in the Market Square competition,” Mr Von Bibra said.

Late 2008 also saw Varsity Lakes opening its first community bank, a Bendigo Bank Community Branch where under the Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank® model, the community raises capital to establish the branch through a public share offer.

Located in the central business precinct of Varsity Lakes, Market Square is a thriving business hub, servicing Varsity Central’s business community, Bond University, Varsity College and the greater Varsity Lakes community.

Upon completion Varsity Lakes will comprise 4,500 homes, more than 343 hectares and up to 100,000-square metres of commercial space in town centre Varsity Central. It will become home to 8,000 residents and more than 5,000 employees.

Varsity Lakes is being developed by Delfin Lend Lease, Australia’s largest developer of master planned communities, with 25 projects nationally.
