Varsity Lakes resident and artist Emma Mary is ready to take the world by storm with her works of art.
The 20 year old has already had her work exhibited at the Gold Coast Arts Centre and Queensland Art Gallery.
Emma has lived on the Gold Coast for 10 years and her art relates her thoughts and views to local surroundings.
She has also been selected as an artist involved in Papergirl, an organisation to help artists and the community work together and be recognised.
Travis Dewan, the organiser and founder of Papergirl, selected Emma as one of the artists.
“We want people to know we have a whole creative community living in Queensland, and developing awareness of creative talent we have in this state,” he said.
Emma is about to leave for New York next week and eventually wants to make it in the big city.
Until then, she’ll finish university and work closer to home.
“After I graduate from University and will base myself in Varsity for the next few years,” she said.
Look out for this young talent’s work as she has also been selected to have an exhibition at the next Gold Coast Arts Festival.
