Varsity School Holiday Fun and Fitness

(By Emma Woolman and Amy Levings - Bond University Students)

Many Varsity Lakes children took the opportunity to cook and dance their way through the school holidays last week.

Fitness Company Busy Bodies kicked off the holidays with a cooking, art and cheerleading classes as well as a kitemaking workshop.

The winter warmers cooking class gave children to chance to cook and taste winter treats.

Creative kids fashioned and designed works of art at the winter creative kids workshop.

Varsity Lakes resident and childcare worker Cara Baker said the area was the ideal environment for families and children to enjoy activities.

“It’s a safe environment, there’s lots of kids that hang around in the playground near the junior school and you see lots of kids around the shops,” she said.

Mrs Baker said there was a wide range of activities in Varsity Lakes which catered to all age groups.

“I am impressed [with the range of activities] especially even for kids in high school,” she said.
