Great news for Varsity Lakes - an all new local sporting event has been confirmed for Sunday 22 May 2011.
The Varsity Lakeside Run for Fun will be a community focused day that will cater to families and residents of the area.
Adults and children of all ages are encouraged to register their interest for the 8km run or 4km walk, with a 1km kids run also on offer around Central Park.
Event Manager Greg Fox hopes the event captures the imagination of the local community by offering a little something for everyone.
“It’s the first time an event of this kind has been held in the area and we feel the month of May at Varsity Lakes is a perfect time and location to have a fun run – a beautiful flat course with picturesque surrounds in the late autumn sun”, Fox said.
Other free activities on offer at the Run for Fun include Fitness Testing, Come & Try Sports Expo, Treasure Hunts, Live Music and Face Painting.
