Varsity Lakes Businessman on Masterchef Australia

A Varsity Lakes businessman said he made it into Top 36 on Channel 10 Masterchef Australia program because he approached the competition with the same principles as his business.

OntheNet Managing Director Mr Woo said his secret ingredient was customer service.

“I treated the judges like they were my customers,” he said.

“My aim was to please.”

Mermaid Waters resident Mr Krieger said he attended a Masterchef Australia episode and tasted Mr Woo’s Peking Duck.

“His food was amazing but his wit was what made him great to watch,” Mr Krieger said.

Mr Woo said although he grew up in a Chinese household the challenge of creating Western dishes on the show was not daunting.

“I spent days preparing for the show,” he said.

“If I could do it all over again I would have used George’s favourite ingredient fennel.”

However, Judge George Calombaris gave Mr Woo the final chop.
