Crows in the Varsity Lakes vicinity are an ongoing nuisance for a Thai restaurant.
Popular Varsity restaurant, Jitlada Thai faces continuing disturbance from the annoying birds.
Employees of the nine month old restaurant said crows lingered less than a metre away from their bi-folding doors and were nothing but an annoyance to the community as well as their restaurant.
Jitlada employee, Jane Aimoth said the crows were there every day without fail.
“The birds wait around for customers to finish their meal, and then they immediately attack the tables,” she said.
“We are always outside cleaning up after them, and sometimes the mess leads to complaints, but there is nothing we can do.”
The restaurant owner, known as ‘Tip’, said the year-round species was a disturbance, and something needed to be done.
“The council needs to get involved and put lids over the outside bins to stop crows hanging around,” she said.
Varsity Lakes resident Nicholas Milloy was unhappy with the mess these birds are creating throughout the community.
“There are faeces on the roads and walkways, and crows can be terrifying to walk past,” he said.
Jitlada Thai Restaurant continues their daily routines, and employees are working hard to ensure the crows don’t affect their business.
