Swine Flu seems to have died off


A LOCAL Varsity lakes Pharmacist said over the last few months the number of Tamiflu scripts they received had declined.
 
Varsity Pharmacy’s head pharmacist Andrew Halec said very few customers had come in with a Tamiflu script lately.

“It went at a peak and now not so much,” he said.
 
Another local Pharmacist Rodney Raven said the occurrence of Swine Flu seemed increase at certain times of year like other types of influenza.

“It [has] almost suddenly disappeared, I see it every year,” he said.
 
Mr Halec said the best way to prevent the any flu was to stay healthy.
 
“Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes and keep drinking fluids and you’ll be fine.”
 
Mr Raven said the best way for people to avoid catching the flu was to limit contact with people who were sick.

“Avoid crowded areas and stay away from people who look sick and keep your hands clean at all times is the best way to go about it.”
 
The Queensland health website said people who feel sick should stay at home.
