Put on your gloves, grab a garbage bag and help Clean up Australia.
For the sixth consecutive year, Varsity Lakes residents Robbie and Kerri Still, are coordinating Clean up Australia Day in Varsity Lakes.
Robbie said they organised the local cleanup effort because they wanted to give something back to the community who support their business.
“We like to have our business seen giving back to the community,” he said.
Robbie and Kerri run Don’s Removal and Storage, a family business that was established in 1967.
Robbie and Kerri said they hoped all members of the community would get involved.
“It’s a good thing for the kid’s, teach them whilst they’re young,” said Robbie.
Kerri said any time which could be spared on the day would be greatly appreciated.
“If they can spare half an hour, than that’s great we will take it,” she said.
Clean up Australia Day being held this Sunday, 1st March with registration starting at 8am on outside Delfin House.
In appreciation of the communities involvement in cleaning up Varsity lakes, Delfin Lend Lease will provide a sausage sizzle afterwards to thank all those who have contributed and volunteered their time.
