Varsity Lakes has reached maturity after 12 years of residential growth, according to local Delfin Lend Lease Realty Services manager Andrew Stevenson.
“It has always been part of the Delfin vision to create this community,” he said.
“We have worked very hard on this project with the council and local authorities and we are very proud of it.”
Lend Lease is the creator of Varsity Lakes Master Plan Community which began twelve years ago, Mr Stevenson said.
“We are very close to our exit strategy now, with only 6 residential land lots left to sell,” he said.
Varsity Lakes resident Christopher Latti said that since he moved to Varsity Lakes in January 2010, he has noticed a growth in the area.
“There are a lot more restaurants and cafés in the area as well as new residential complexes,” he said.
Delfin Lend Lease Realty Services manager Andrew Stevenson said that with Burleigh Heads being 3km away and Robina Town Centre 2km away, Varsity Lakes is a premium location.
“We have marketed the area but the premium location itself has enhanced Varsity Lakes as a desired cosmopolitan lakeside village,” he said.
“The majority of the owner occupiers as well as investors are, in fact, local Gold Coast residents.”
Varsity Lakes resident Genevieve Ireland said that she is happy she chose to live in the Varsity Lakes area when moving down to the Gold Coast from Sydney.
“I love living here as it has everything I need, all of which is easily accessible,” she said.
“The surrounding lake is very beautiful and tranquil, and the community reflects that with their relaxed vibe.
“There is also a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, making it a great place to catch up with friends.”
