Recession fails to affect Varsity Lakes property sales

and Robina Ray White office

Property sales in Varsity Lakes have increased despite the global recession according to staff at Ray White Realty.

Varsity Lakes and Robina marketing and sales consultant Linda Lock said buying activity was strong, particularly amongst investors.

Ms Lock said properties had sustained their value but were still affordable, especially with lower interest rates.

“We have many properties under $500,000 that are attracting first home buyers,” she said.

“People have realised that the recession is not as bad as they first thought and that life goes on.”

Ray White staff said buying interest was so great that they could not keep up with demand.

Varsity Lakes resident Amanda Miller said she moved to the area recently.

“I think that Varsity Lakes is a very cost-effective and safe environment to live in,” she said.

The Ray White Robina and Varsity Group are hosting an investor auction on July 22 at the Robina Community Centre.
