A three level office building in Varsity Lakes is expected to be leased for $1,483,747 per annum.
The 3,757 metres squared property on 15 Lake Street contains 158 parking spaces and the ground floor has been by the council approved for medical practices.
Ray White Surfers Paradise agent David Djurovitch said he thought Varsity Lakes had a huge potential for growth and to become a large commercial centre.
Mr Djurovitch said construction on the Lake street property was completed in early 2010 and would further expand the second largest CBD precinct on the Gold Coast.
“It’s a brand new modern facility, it’s got high speed IT cabling, parking is very good compared to many CBD locations and the train station has just been linked from Robina,” he said.
Signature Dish café employee Jason Rowe said he thought Varsity Lakes was attractive to businesses because it served as a lifestyle hub rather than as a congested shopping areas.
“It’s not overly busy,” he said.
“It’s easy access for people.”
Mr Rowe said the expanding Market Square precinct would draw more visitors to the Varsity Lakes area, having a positive effect on other businesses.
“It’s good for the area, there’s got to be a lot [of services] to support [the area],” he said.
The price of the commercial building is currently under negotiation.
