The Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry Gold Coast Centre has traditionally offered a range of workshops and seminars to business clients in the region centred on developing sound business skills.  The seminar entitled "Considering a Business" is of one hour's duration and is designed to give potential business owners an overview of the important factors to consider before starting or buying a business for the first time.   The 6x3hr workshop titled "Starting a Business" are aimed at business operators who have recently purchased or started a business.

The free seminar is delivered by the Small Business Advisor from the Department. 
The workshops are presented by an external professional consultant, in a relaxed format, who has intensive knowledge of the subjects covered and teaches expert business skills at each workshop session.
