Butterfly Boot Camp for women offers outdoor alternative to gym at Robina State school
Varsity Lakes women are now getting in shape with Butterfly Boot Camp at Robina State School after a move from Varsity College in October.
Butterfly Boot Camp offers outdoor exercise for women in small groups of 14 to 16 participants.
Owner and founder of Butterfly Boot Camp Charlotte Parker said she called it Bootycamp because it is a workout for women.
“I wanted to offer an alternative to gyms that is affordable,” Ms Parker said.
“A lot of women feel very vulnerable in a traditional gym setting, especially when they’re overweight.
“At Butterfly Boot Camp every exercise can be modified to fit the individual needs of the participant.” (Listen to Charlotte Parker’s description of the workout)
Ms Parker said they run four challenges a year consisting of eight weeks of training to motivate participants.
Personal Trainer Sharon Kelly-Knowles, who instructs the Boot Camp at Robina, said the workouts run from 5.45 am to 6.45 am.
“The early workout is good,” she said.
“By 7 am their exercise is done and they feel good.” (Listen to Sharon Kelly-Knowles talking about Butterfly Boot Camp)
Butterfly Boot Camp is currently offered at seven locations around the Gold Coast and prices per session start at $9 per session or $ 4.50 per session for students.
