Varsity graduating students are waiting for formal night as other schools’ formal nights pass by.
School formals are being held every night this week and many formals are at Bond University.
The Varsity College formal is held this Thursday night, November 17, at the Gold Coast Art Centre.
Bond University student Amelia Stone, who graduated from Varsity College in 2009, said she is excited to see her sister at her formal on Thursday night.
“A school formal is so exciting for the graduating students to celebrate altogether after many years of schooling,” said Amelia.
“It will be so good to see my sister and the rest of her grade all dressed up.
“She’s so excited and just wants it to be her formal night already.”
Both Keebra Park State High School and Palm Beach Currumbin State High School held formals on Monday, November 14.
Palm Beach Currumbin formal was at Bond University, while Keebra’s formal was at Palazzo Versace, Main Beach.
Keebra Park State High School graduating student Jasmin Haimona, who was the school captain, said it was an amazing night that she will never forget.
“It was so good for all of grade 12 to come together for this one special night,” Jasmin said.
“The venue, the people, the music, the outfits, it was all so perfect.
“I’m sad to be finishing school and leaving my friends, teachers and peers but at the same time excited to go out and see what the world has to offer.”
