A new Japanese restaurant has opened in Market Square.

Cherry Blossom Sushi & Tempura has the potential of becoming a local favourite.

The owner, Dana Seong, had seven years’ experience in her restaurant in Broadbeach and now is starting a chain throughout the Gold Coast.

She is happy with the progress of her new restaurant so far.

The original menu is inspired by fresh tastes of authentic Japanese cuisine.

“We get fresh fish and chicken every day - nothing is frozen,” says Ms Seong.

Shiggy Shinomiya was intrigued by the restaurant and came for the first time.

“I heard there was a new place in town and I wanted to try,” he said.

“The food is great and the sushi train is a great idea. I will come back.”

To attract even more people, the restaurant is giving a 20 per cent discount voucher to every new customer.
