The Varsity Lakes Chemist has relocated from Market Square to the new Gold Coast Medical Precinct on Varsity Parade.
The re-opening of the pharmacy has been welcomed by locals as it is the only pharmacist to service the Varsity Lakes area.
Pharmacy assistant Laurelle Thomas believes there is an improvement in the range of products and prices remain competitive, as the owners remain unchanged.
“We offer a wide variety of products ranging from gifts, perfumes, health and beauty, and prescription medications,” Mrs Thomas said.
There is also an improvement to the opening hours with doors open 8.30am to 6.00pm weekdays, and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays, with longer opening hours proposed for the near future.
“As the medical centre gets busier and doctors are on for longer hours, we will also be open for longer to cater for patients needs,” she said.
Integration into the new Medical Centre provides consumers with all their medical needs in one convenient location.
Pharmacist Andrew Halec believes this is of benefit to the community, particularly young families and the elderly.
“The centre has a general medical centre, after hour’s emergency, pathologist, radiologist, and pharmacy. All your medical and health needs are in one convenient location,” he said.
