Approximately, 300 people attended a free outdoor screening of the children’s movie Bolt last Saturday night in the Market Square Amphitheatre.
Hosted by Delfin marketing services manager Abbey Trueman said the event was organised to bring the local community together as well as benefit local business.
Local residents Anthony and Rose Penney said they enjoyed the movie.
“[It was] very good … [and] very family friendly,” Mr Penney said.
Families from other suburbs, such as Merrimac and Mudgeeraba heard about the event and thought it would be enjoyable.
Mudgeeraba residents Doug and Janine Swanborough said the event could have been more widely advertised.
The Swanborough family said had not heard about the event but they discovered it when they pulled into the parking lot next to the Amphitheatre.
