Blackboard Café, a specialty coffee shop in Varsity Lakes, aims to introduce a Melbournian feel to Varsity with its new breakfast menu.
Nick Pearce, the owner of Blackboard café, was excited to return from Melbourne two weeks ago, where he sourced out a new menu to entice a wider demographic to the café.
“Our highly skilled Baristas and our exotic coffee beans are recognized around Varsity, our new menu was chosen specifically to compliment our newest coffee blends,” Mr Pearce said.
Blackboard boasts some of the best coffee on the Gold Coast, according to self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, Jacob Reichman.
He said after visiting Blackboard, other cafés weren’t the same.
“After drinking Blackboard’s incredible coffee, going to a different coffee shop seems second rate,” he said.
“I’m yet to try their new breakfast menu – but the coffee shop never fails to impress me, so I’ll definitely be checking that out soon.”
Varsity Lakes is continuing to grow in culture and population and coffee shops and restaurants feel the need to step up their game to keep the customers coming.
Competitors, including Blackboards neighbor Signature Dish, are holding weekly cooking classes in order to create a new clientele for the business.
Even with the competition Mr Pearce feels confident Blackboard will not find it difficult to keep the customers coming.
