As you would be aware, it has been a devastating weekend for communities in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia which have been seriously affected by bushfires.
Early reports indicate that we have customers in these affected areas may be in need of assistance in coming days.
We have already started the process of contacting customers either personally or via SMS. We are encouraging all customers affected by the fires to call into their local branch or phone 1300 366 666 for assistance.
As a result, yesterday Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, through its Community Enterprise Foundation, launched a Bushfire Appeal with an immediate $100,000 donation.
People wanting to donate can log onto Bendigo Bank’s website, www.bendigobank.com.au or call into any or our branches.
Donations can also be made via the internet 'pay anyone' system at BSB 633 000 and Account Number 124070871.
At this stage, phone donations cannot be accepted.
Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
Please note that credit card donations can also be made online at http://shop.bendigobank.com.au/foundation however, in kind donations will not be accepted for this appeal.
In Branch donations can also be made including the Varsity Lakes Branch.
